About Rick

Pastor Rick Maddox has been on the pastoral staff at First Alliance Church since the beginning of 2022.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in a first grade Sunday school class, and has been a pastor since 1982 and a lead pastor of three Alliance churches from 1983 through the end of 2021.  Pastor Rick married his wife Sandy in 1980. They have five grown children and ten grandchildren.

He received his B.A. degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Gordon College in Massachusetts, and His M.Div. degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois.  Pastor Rick’s primary ministries in the church are pastoral visitation and directing the English as a Second Language ministry. He is also very involved in the Bible quizzing ministry, chairs the church policy committee, and serves on the elder board and the governing board of the church. In addition to his responsibilities at First Alliance Church, Pastor Rick serves in several capacities in the Ohio Valley District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  He also serves on three boards of secular organizations in the area.
