SEMON OUTLINE

Romans 12:17-21

Pastor Bill Strader

Sunday, February 25th, 2024

Introduction:

Paul concludes Romans chapter 12 by focusing

on how to deal with religious persecution.

Religious persecution is inevitable for every

Christian. “In fact, everyone who wants to live

a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted”

(II Timothy 3:12). In America today religious

persecution is increasing against Christians. It

is important to understand how to respond to it

biblically. Paul gives us six ways to respond to

religious persecution biblically.

Body:

  1. Do Not Retaliate:
  2. Do Good To Everyone:
  3. Be At Peace With Everyone, If Possible:
  4. Do Not Take Revenge:
  5. Care For Your Enemy:
  6. Overcome Evil With Good:

Conclusion

As you live for Jesus someone will mock you,

ridicule you or persecute you. Don’t respond

in like kind. Rather trust God and love them in

the power of God’s Holy Spirit. This is the only

way you can represent God appropriately and

possible win them to Jesus.
